On October 27, 2023, Cheongam University held the "2023 Computer Information Convergence ICT Technology Seminar" that combined innovative ideas and technological capabilities of ICT land-based academic network formation and technological innovation.
This event was attended by technology leaders centered on Jeonnam ICT companies, discussing the trends and future of the global ICT industry and presenting various perspectives on the development of innovative technologies.
The main session focused on the innovative use of Industry 4.0 technologies such as security, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, providing participants with new perspectives on current trends and the future.

This year's seminar, held for the second time since last year, was larger in scale, with a wide range of ICT companies participating, including not only the Jeonnam region such as Suncheon, Yeosu, Gwangyang, Mokpo, and Naju, but also Seoul and Gwangju.
29 company technology leaders, local governments (Suncheon City, Gwangyang City), related organizations (Jeonnam Techno Park), ICT-related personnel, Cheongam University professors, and students from the Department of Computer Information Convergence participated.

Hong Jin-young, General Manager and Research Director of Jiranjigyo Security Co., Ltd., Moon Hee-yeol, CEO of T-Surf Co., Ltd., and Cho Jae-hyeok, Personal Information Protection Officer of ATAD, participated as lecturers to share innovative research and development in the ICT field and provide advice and discussions with participants on how to apply the latest technology trends in their respective fields to industrial sites.

In addition, participants shared their own research and projects and had time for mutual exchange through industrial-academic networking, providing an opportunity to contribute more actively to the innovation and development of the local ICT industry.

The Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University is accelerating the training of local ICT professionals through practical industry-academic cooperation, such as by conducting projects with local ICT company experts and promoting regular and non-regular courses for obtaining various ICT-related qualifications, and is playing a major role in the formation of local ICT industry along with the formation of a local ICT human resource pool.
