Cheongam University (Acting President Kim Seong-hong) Computer Information Convergence Department (Department Head Choi Woo-jin) and students were selected as finalists in the '2024 Student Entrepreneurship Promising Team 300+ Competition'. The '2024 Student Entrepreneurship Promising Team 300+' is a project hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation to select and foster 300 promising student entrepreneurship teams from universities nationwide. It is conducted in three categories: Leap Track, Growth Track, and Education Track. Among them, 250 teams from all over the country were finally selected for the Growth Track.
The CACC team from Cheongam University's Computer Information Convergence Department applied for the 'Growth Track', which selects student entrepreneurship teams that need to improve their business plans and business models through entrepreneurship capacity enhancement education in this competition, and was finally selected through document evaluation and presentation evaluation and received a certificate from the Minister of Education.
CACC (Kim Min-hye, Jeong Eun-seo, Baek Seung-jin, Moon Young-min, Choi Ga-eul) is a team of first-year students who entered the Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University in 2024. Based on the guidance of their advisor, Professor Lee Hyo-seung, and Professor Oh Seung-hong, they were selected for the "2024 Jeollanam-do University Student Infinite Challenge Project", won the "2024 Chat GPT Idea Contest", were selected for the "2024 Honam Region Developer Team Building 5th Batch", and advanced to the final round of the "2024 Student Entrepreneurship Promising Team 300+ Competition" in just five months since they chose to major in IT. Despite the short period of time since they began, they have shown consistent and meaningful results.

The Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University is specializing its department through industry-academic cooperation with local ICT companies, and is striving to foster future local talent by conducting team projects that incorporate AI and IoT technologies in planning, development, and design fields in line with the development speed and practical standards of the IT industry, along with support for obtaining various IT certifications.
