[The Korea-Jeonnam Suncheon] Cheongam University (Acting President Kim Seong-hong) Computer Information Convergence Department (Department Head Choi Woo-jin) held the "2022 Computer Information Convergence ICT Technology Seminar" at the Cheongam University Information Science Building on November 11.
This seminar was hosted by Cheongam University's Computer Information Convergence Department and co-hosted by Cheongam University's Corporate Disaster and Safety Management Specialist Training Center and Mirae Information Co., Ltd. It explained the mindset and necessity of self-development that students need to have in order to get a job at an IT company from a student's perspective, and gave a lecture on web firewall security technology for representatives of local ICT-related companies and IT managers.
This seminar began with an introduction of the department, such as the regular and irregular education courses, clubs, department projects, and department achievements (awards, development works) being conducted by the Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University (Professor Lee Hyo-seung), and then a lecture on the web firewall section and mind training for students of the Department of Computer Information Convergence was given by Mirae Information Co., Ltd. In particular, the presenter of Mirae Information Co., Ltd. who presented the web firewall section said that it was a very meaningful opportunity for him to present his technology to his juniors as a senior and as an engineer.

 In addition, a representative of a company that attended the seminar said that he knew that the Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University was a leading IT education provider in our region, but he did not know that it was such a substantial department.
He expressed his hope that the Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University will continue to promote joint research projects through industry-academia cooperation and secure a stable supply of IT professional technical personnel.
The Department of Computer Information Convergence at Cheongam University is playing a major role in fostering local ICT experts and forming a local ICT human resource pool by specializing the department through practical industry-academia cooperation, such as by conducting projects with experts from local ICT companies, allowing students to acquire on-site skills, and by promoting regular and non-regular courses for obtaining various ICT-related qualifications.
